Mentoring is proven to be one of the most effective methods of promoting student success in Higher Education.

The Career Mentoring Programme at the University of Essex is your opportunity to:

Provide one-to-one guidance and support to Essex students
Share your knowledge and experience
Further develop your own skills and professional network
Uncover fresh new talent

We currently run two mentoring options which are decided for students based on their level of career readiness and overall employability. Please select all of the options you are interested in and available for. (required)NB: This does not commit you to anything. Please also be aware that we cannot guarantee a match.

Career Mentoring Programme (6 hours over 6 month - Oct/Nov-Apr/May)

Industry Connections (3 hours over 3 months during summer)

One-off careers conversations via video meeting/telephone
