Autumn Careers Fair

Thursday 6 November 2025, 11-4pm

The University of Essex Careers Fairs are targeted towards large scale recruiters with internships, placement years, graduate schemes and other opportunities relevant to our student body. We also welcome third party recruitment service providers.

We are mindful of providing a good variety of opportunities for our students and need to ensure a wide variety of sectors and opportunities are represented, for this reason we reserve the right to decline any bookings that we feel do not provide a good match.

Fair Costs:

Standard: £175 + VAT

Not-for-profit: £75 + VAT

Knowledge Gateway tenants: £75 + VAT

Terms and Conditions:

Payment must be made within 30 days of receipt of invoice, or within one week of the event taking place for late bookings. If your payment is not received your place may be offered to someone else.
We expect all exhibitors to stay for the duration of the event; if any leave before the event finishes they will be invoiced for an additional payment of £50.
All organisations exhibiting on campus are required to provide evidence of public liability insurance to the value of at least £5 million.
Cancellations can be made free of charge if made in writing at least two weeks prior to the event taking place. The full fee will still be payable for cancellations made after this period due to costs already incurred.
All potential exhibitors will be risk assessed prior to the event to ensure we deliver an inclusive and safe event.

The following types of roles cannot be promoted at this event:

Self–employed or freelance positions, franchise opportunities or any opportunities requiring an upfront cost.
Any unpaid positions, except for volunteering roles with a UK registered charity.

The University requires all exhibitors to behave in a professional manner whilst on campus and follow the University's speaker protocol, anyone found not doing so will be removed from the event without refund.

Careers Fair

About Your Stand

You will be provided with a trestle table, 3 chairs, free parking, WiFi, refreshments and lunch. Please note, we ask for no more than 3 representatives from each organisation due to space.

All organisations are encouraged to bring a pull-up banner & tablecloth for their stand to make it clear to students who they are representing.

We ask that you consider the impact to the environment when it comes to promotional materials and merchandise for your stand on the day.

We cannot take any deliveries before the day of the event, so please advise any couriers accordingly. We will be able to take deliveries on the day from 8am and collection can happen from 4pm.

We will be photographing and recording the event so please let us know if you wish to be excluded.

Please also note that there will be no electricity at the stands for this event, however there will be electrical outlets in a separate space which can be used for personal items during breaks.

Public Liability Insurance

The University requires all exhibitors to provide proof of public liability insurance cover in order to attend our fairs. Please note that you must have valid public liability insurance covering you for the date of the event to the value of £5 million in order to attend the event.

All exhibitors are required to upload a copy of their public liability insurance certificate (please note - this is different from employer's liability insurance).
