Essex Careers Fair 2019

Essex is going places - join us!

Think you know Essex? Think again!

With bold expansion plans for the future Essex is the one to watch.

Crowned University of the Year 2018 in the Times Education Awards 2018.

Rated Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework 2017

Proud to be the 15th most international university in the world with our cohort of nearly 15,000 students

Lives are transformed at Essex. Our unique campus communities boast students from 170 different nations. This diverse community allows our students to make international contacts and develop an understanding of other cultures that equips them for an increasingly globalised labour market.

Our students come to Essex from a range of backgrounds, including 30% from areas that typically send very few students into Higher Education. A staggering 37% of our students come from households with incomes of less than £25,000 and a significant proportion of those are the first in their family to come to university.

Having taken this bold step; 80% of these students then go on to gain good degrees at Essex.

As our recent TEF Gold rating showed, not only do our students receive a high-quality academic experience at Essex, they also have a greater chance of getting a graduate-level job or entering further study when they leave; than if they had attended a similar university with a similar student profile.

The unique transformative education we offer allows our students to go into the world and make a difference.

Last years' Careers Fair was our biggest and best yet with over 1800 students and graduates through the doors in the space of four and a half hours, there really is no better way to raise your brand profile on campus!

We are also serious about our commitment to equality, social mobility and diversity... The Times Higher Education Awards judging panel said “Unabashed in its strategy to recruit students on the basis of potential rather than just prior achievement, and [The University of Essex} has helped them to fulfil that potential."

Did we mention that The University of Essex has was awarded the prestigious title of University of the Year 2018 at the Times Higher Education Awards 2018?

Join us at our Careers Fair and find out why!

Terms and Conditions

Before you begin, it's worth noting the following information.

The University of Essex Careers Fair is targeted towards larger scale recruiters who have insight opportunities, placement years, summer internships, graduate schemes and other graduate jobs and opportunities relevant to our student body. We also welcome professional and membership bodies able to provide careers information, advice and support to our students and third party student and graduate recruitment service providers.

We are mindful of providing a good variety of opportunity for our students and therefore need to ensure a wide variety of sectors and job roles are represented. For this reason we reserve the right to decline any bookings that we feel do not fulfill this remit or provide a good match.

Please note the following types of roles cannot be promoted at this event

• Self–employed or freelance positions, franchise opportunities or any opportunities requiring an upfront cost

• Positions requiring the employee to work within a private household (unless through a registered agency)

• Any unpaid positions except for volunteering roles for a UK registered charity

Payment must be made within 30 days of receipt of invoice prior to the event, or within one week of the event taking place for last minute bookings. If your payment is not received your place may be offered to someone else.

All organisations exhibiting on campus are required to provide evidence of valid public liability insurance to the value of at least £5 million.

Cancellations can be made free of charge if made in writing at least four weeks prior to the event taking place. The full fee will still be payable for cancellations made after this period due to costs already incurred.

The University reserves the right to withdraw registrations from organisations that do not align with the objectives for the event. In this case, a full refund will be given.

The University requires all exhibitors to behave in a professional manner whilst on campus - anyone found not doing so may be removed from the event without refund.

If you have any questions about any of the above, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via or calling 01206 872494.
